Launched in April 2019, we are coming up to the 6-month review period of the Innovator visa category. The UK Innovator visa is one of the newly introduced categories of UK visas. Presented as a replacement to the previously existing Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa of the Points Based System (PBS). The purpose of this visa category is to facilitate experienced entrepreneurs i.e. founders/innovators set up their business in the UK.
This category of visas entails the prospective applicant going through 2 stages to facilitate entry into the UK market. The first being; securing an endorsement from one of the limited numbers of ÔÇÿendorsing bodies’ available for the said applicant. The second stage is applying for entry clearance as an innovator and demonstrating access to ┬ú50,000 along with meeting the other general eligibility requirements under the Immigration Rules.
