SEO Executive Intern / Trainee (Full‑time, In‑office)

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Social Media & Content Specialist to manage our social media presence and assist with content creation. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of social media platforms, along with basic to sound skills in video and audio editing.

Key Responsibilities

Learn and execute basic to advanced off page SEO (backlink building, guest blogging, directory submissions, social signals, Article submissions, classified submissions, etc.).
Improve DA/PA of Website.
Assist in competitor backlink research using tools like Ahrefs/SEMrush (Training will be provided).
Do basic outreach (emails, LinkedIn) for content promotion and link opportunities.
Maintain basic trackers (Excel/Google Sheets) for links, campaigns, and performance.
Attend weekly training sessions and implement learnings.

Requirements

Basic graduate degree (any discipline)
Completed or currently pursuing a Digital Marketing / SEO course (Offline or Online).
Basic understanding of SEO (on page, off page, keywords).
Good written English and basic communication skills.
Willingness to learn and work in office near Saki Naka / Andheri East.
Fresher or 0–6 months experience is acceptable.

What We Offer

Initial 3–6 months (intern / trainee): ₹8,000 – ₹12,000 per month.
After 6 months (if performance is good): Promote to Junior SEO Executive with ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month (or higher based on performance).
Certification letter after 6–12 months.

Social Media & Content Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Develop, plan, and manage engaging social media content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
Create and edit short-form and long-form video content for social media campaigns.

SEO Specialist (Off-Page & Growth) – Team Lead

Location: Remote or On-site (Saki Naka, Mumbai)

About the Role

The SmartMove2UK is looking for a results-driven SEO Team Lead who can take full ownership of our SEO performance end-to-end. You will be directly responsible for planning, execution, and optimisation of SEO activities, while guiding and mentoring an SEO Assistant and interns. All key outcomes – rankings, traffic, leads, technical health, and implementation of recommendations – will be driven and owned by you.

This role blends hands-on SEO (on-page, off-page, and technical) with strategic thinking and close collaboration with our Social Media & Content Specialist and Ads team.

Key Responsibilities

Own and execute SEO strategy across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO to grow qualified organic traffic and leads.
Plan and implement strategies to improve rankings, Domain Authority (DA), and Page Authority (PA) through ethical link-building.
Take responsibility for high rankings, leads, and page views on key landing pages and service pages.
Use SEMrush for keyword research, site audits, competitor analysis, and to implement recommendations (including technical fixes and content opportunities).
Work on technical SEO: Core Web Vitals, site speed, internal linking, indexation issues, structured data, crawl errors, and overall site hygiene (coordinating with developers where needed).
Review and improve layouts, landing pages, and content structure for better UX, conversions, and SEO performance.
Have hands-on experience with Google Ads: align SEO keywords and landing pages with paid campaigns, support ad copy/landing page optimisation, and work with the Ads team on performance insights.
Delegate and supervise off-page activities (backlink building, directory submissions, outreach support, listings, etc.) to the SEO Assistant and interns, while owning strategy, quality, and final outcomes.
Lead, guide, and mentor the SEO Assistant and interns: task allocation, review of work, feedback, and training.
Collaborate with the Social Media & Content Specialist to align SEO with content calendars, campaigns, and thought-leadership content.
Monitor performance via Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEMrush, and prepare weekly/monthly reports with clear, actionable recommendations.

Requirements

3 – 5 years of hands-on experience in SEO (preferably in service-based or lead generation businesses).
At least 1 year of experience leading or mentoring a junior resource (assistant, intern, or small team) on SEO tasks.
Strong expertise in off-page SEO and backlink building, with a clear understanding of quality vs. quantity.
Solid experience with on-page and technical SEO, including Core Web Vitals, site speed, internal linking, indexation, and resolving technical issues.
Strong proficiency in SEMrush (keyword research, audits, backlink tracking, competitor insights) and the ability to implement its recommendations.
Hands-on experience with Google Ads (AdWords) and a clear understanding of how SEO and paid campaigns support each other.
Comfortable working with Google Analytics and Google Search Console for tracking traffic, rankings, and conversions.
Ability to manage priorities, take ownership of outcomes, and work with a performance mindset (traffic, leads, conversions).
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain SEO recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
